I study "Direct Anthropomorphization Method" that implement imaginary body image to enviroments.
Goal: Toward Intimate Interaction to Environmental Objects
I propose a new human-object interaction that anthropomorphizes a target common object using attachable humanoid parts.

Implementation: Attachable Robotic Parts
I transforms an object into an agent using attachable human-like "eye", "arm", "mouth", and "skin" devices.

To achieve my goal, I developed movable and attachable humanoid parts, include display, motor, battery sensor, microcontroller and wireless connector. I also developed new algorithm to detect user's touch in 2 dimention area.

Evaluation: What is achieved by anthropomorphization?
Through several experiments, I verified that participants accepted the imaginary body image of an object.
I also researched the effects of gender and age on the user's attitude towards the anthropomorphized object.

I compared our method with a similar one using the humanoid robot Robovie. I found that, in the anthropomorphization case, the user was able to remeber more of the object's functions.
